El ministerio de Justicia para Nuestros Vecinos (JFON), iniciado por la Mesa Directiva General de Ministerios Globales en el año 1999, ha servido a miles de inmigrantes a través de los Estados Unidos. El Comité Metodista Unido de Auxilio (UMCOR) patrocina este programa, trabajando en 27 clínicas legales en varias regiones de los Estados Unidos. JFON-Sureste de Michigan (JFON-Southeastern Michigan) fue formado en el año 2009 con un sitio ubicado en la Primera Iglesia Metodista Unida de Dearborn (Dearborn First United Methodist Church).
